These maps show the track of the tornadoes that occurred in North West Alabama February 5, 2008. If your timber was damaged by these tornadoes and you need management advice, contact your local Alabama Forestry Commission office or call 334-240-9333 for assistance.

To obtain a Burn Permit, report a wildfire, or contact your local AFC office.


Landowner Services                                                                   
The Alabama Forestry Commission assists landowners in managing their forests.  The primary tool we use is the TREASURE Forest Program which operates under the National Stewardship Program and within the National Association of State Foresters' Principles and Guides for a Well-Managed Forest.

If you would like a resource professional to visit your property or are interested in having your forest certified under the TREASURE Forest Program complete the online 
TREASURE Forest Application
.

If you would like to nominate an Alabama Forest landowner for the TREASURE Forest Program complete the online Nomination Form.

We also assist landowners with prescribe burning, firebreak construction and utilization of Alabama's Best Management Practices for Forestry to improve water quality.

Multiple-use Cost Share Programs.
