Landowner Services
The Alabama Forestry Commission
assists landowners in managing their forests. The primary tool we use is the
TREASURE Forest Program
which operates under the National Stewardship Program and
within the National Association of State Foresters'
Principles and Guides for a Well-Managed Forest.
If you would like a resource professional to visit your property or are interested in
having your
forest certified under the TREASURE Forest Program
complete the online
TREASURE Forest
Application.
If you would like to nominate an
Alabama Forest landowner for the
TREASURE Forest Program complete the online Nomination Form.
Through our rural community fire
protection programs and our
partnership with Alabama's Volunteer
Fire Departments we provide protection
from wildfires and perform suppression activities quickly
and effectively so
losses from wildfires are kept to a
minimum.
