![]() Alabama Certified Burn Manager Training Schedule for 2008 Alabama Certified Burn Manager Certification Courses All courses are 4 day 30 contact hours. All courses begin at 8am and end at 5 pm daily. On the first day students should arrive by 7:30 for check in. Students must pre-register for courses (except the April 16-17 session) by sending a $50 registration fee to Alabama Certified Burn Manager Certification Course (check made payable to AL CBM Course), c/o Kent Hanby, 431 Dogwood Trail, Dadeville, AL 36853. Required PRE_STUDY: All students are expected to review the material at www.pfmt.org/fire in the history, science, and behavior sections. There will be a pre-study test on the first day of the course. October 7-10, 2008
Special land owner support under EQIP: If a forest landowner has signed up for NRCS prescribed burning support and is willing to receive training to become a Certified Burn Manager the landowner may be eligible to “sign up” to receive a one-time payment of $375 upon providing proof of certification. This is a grant to cover registration, transportation and lodging during the course. Detailed information may be obtained from county NRCS offices.
Alabama Certified Burn Manager Continuing Education Workshops All workshops are 1 day, 6 contact hours, designed to satisfy the Alabama Certified Burn Manager continuing education requirement for re-certification; 8:30 am to 4:30 pm September 3, 2008
