1. Changing the initial training
requirement by requiring a 32 hour training course for all new burn
managers, plus pre-course work. (The 12 hour course for experienced
burners has been dropped.)
2. Setting the Prescribed Burn Manager
Certification with a five (5) year term, which is a change from the
previous rules, which did not have a term limit.
3. Requiring 6 hours of continuing
education prior to certification renewal.
4. Establishing a transition
period for the recertification process.
5. Modified the minimum standards for Prescribed
Burn Plans.
